Introducing: Our Secretary and Recruitment Director

Aleisha Telesford
Hello! My name is Aleisha and I am the Secretary and Recruitment director for Hearing the Little Heartbeats. I am currently in my third year of Psychology at the University of Calgary and I plan to dive into the world of industrial psychology after I graduate.
I have always been an active person and I grew up loving and participating in various sports. I was blessed with many opportunities in high school to lead not only in sports but also in community services and a multitude of special events. These opportunities allowed me to realize that the world was much bigger than the small parts I was used to seeing. For the longest time, I had only understood what serving and being dedicated to those around me looked like on a local scale, but never on a global scale.

This awoke a desire in me to take steps towards serving communities in our world that seem impossible to reach. Through HLH I am able to, not only extend my arms towards a country that seems so far away, but also help others connect with a place they may barely think about. HLH brings a whole new perspective to being the hands and feet of Christ, by allowing me to actively make a difference in the lives of children who are affected by a broken healthcare system.

I look forward to watching this organization grow and seeing the impact we can make in parts of our world that we never thought we could reach. My goal for our organization this year is to be able to supply a year’s worth of vitamins for as many children as possible.
Together we can make an impact on the health of the nations and the generations to come.
