Welcome back to the blog everyone, we have missed you dearly! Over the last few months, we have been really busy working on something new and exciting.
For our first 3 years, our organization has worked with Impact Ministries, coming alongside them in their work in local Guatemalan communities, attempting to combat the drug shortage faced by the health care system and the occurrence of malnutrition in Guatemalan children. Through our partners at Blessings International and Vine International, in the last three years, we have been able to send 50,000 multivitamins to their schools in Guatemala. This work was ignited and fueled by our passion to provide aid to those affected by various forms of health inequity around the world.
This passion has lead us to take on another mission and in addition to our work in Guatemala, we will be also be walking alongside communities in the Caribbean country of Grenada in an effort to help fight the health inequities that they face. Through partnership with the local Grenadian organization Proactive Nation Builders, our work will involve increasing the supplies of under stocked pharmacies, and providing supplements and resources for a vulnerable elderly population. We are very proud to be expanding and are looking forward to uniting with our partners in Grenada in this work.
As our organization expands into different countries, we believe that that is important for us to address healthcare issues and topics that are relevant to many around the globe . We aim to raise awareness and provide education on a wide range of topics in healthcare inequity. We will be looking at these topics from both historical and current perspectives and dive into the contributions of colonization, legislation, and systemic discrimination on the health inequities experienced around the globe. To reflect this growth, our organization will now be called the World Healthcare Equity Foundation. Our mission as WHEF is to fight for worldwide healthcare equity by partnering with local communities, providing resources, and providing education to our peers.
Although we are going through many changes, our hearts, our passion, and the core of our organization remains the same. We hope that you will join us on this new journey and continue to support us as we advocate for change in our world!
Together we can make an impact on the health of the nations and the generations to come.
