MEET OUR PARTNERS: Proactive Nation Builders

THIS WEEK WE ARE INTRODUCING YOU TO OUR NEW PARTNERS, PROACTIVE NATION BUILDERS! GET TO KNOW WHO THEY ARE AND THE AMAZING WORK THAT THEY DO IN THEIR COMMUNITY!

Proactive Nation Builders is a registered NGO based in the parish of St. David on the island of Grenada. PNB was founded by a community of Grenadians and multiple organizations that wanted to donate their time and resources to help create and implement innovative and proactive approaches to nation building. Through various programs, PNB partners with different parishes to help them empower their communities and build strong resources.

The aim of PNB is to support the efforts of ordinary Grenadians choosing to serve the nation, despite challenging times. The organization also aims to support communities in establishing structures that would allow them to identify and utilize their own resources to become self-reliant. In collaboration with local and national organizations, PNB connects different community groups to resources and support groups. The organization also invests in programs and projects that contribute to the development of these communities.

There are four areas that PNB is focusing on:

• Social Transformation
• Cultural Revival and Preservation
• Economic Growth and Development
• Environmental Stewardship

PNB has created multiple programs within each of these areas for the communities they work with. For social transformation, this includes music programs, STEM camps, leadership camps, and the Community Elder Care and Appreciation program. For cultural revival and preservation, PNB is currently running Grenadian heritage camps and cultural keepers performing groups. In terms of economic growth and development, the organization holds community gardening competitions. And for environmental stewardship, PNB advocates for the preservation, protection, and proper use of and access to Grenadian lands.

The mission of PNB is to strengthen the fabric of the Grenadian society by providing all Grenadians with the opportunity to contribute to the development and transformation of the tri-island state of Grenada, Carriacou, and Petit Martinique.

Through our partnership, we will be working alongside PNB and their communities to help increase the supplies of under stocked pharmacies and provide supplements and resources to the vulnerable elderly population. We are more than excited to be partnering with Proactive Nation Builders and we look forward to taking you on this journey with us!
